making a field mandt

i have to make a field mandatory. i got the field exit can any one guide me how to make that field mandatory?

Hi

If you are talking about Field in any standard transaction then you have to try in SPRO inorder to make that field mandatory.

If that option is not available in SPRO then try some user exit related to that transaction.

for this there is no setting in spro. i already worked with screen varient which is not accepting by the client becaues he want to use standard t-code itself. i worked with an user exit which i gave an information message which is allowing if we ignore the message, then i gave error message which is completly blocking complete screen.

its package is CO in T-code cj20n. can any one give me any screen badi or with any other way?

And if There is no Option in SPRO than you may do this by Screen/transaction variant form SHD0,and asign this to your actual t-code.

for SHD0 process you may search in SCN there are lot of examples are already posted.

Dear use screen variant for standard transaction ..i am very much sure it will work..

Go to SHD0 t-code and give ur t-code there for which transaction you want to make the mandatory

field

then give ur pgm name and screen number and press enter.

Its require little R&D.

revert back to me but 1st do the R&D .
