Hello,
I'm working on BPC Optimized for S/4 Hana. I created a planning sequence with a planning function of formula type (FOX). In this formula I put a warning message:
MESSAGE W006( ZBPC_PS ) WITH V_ISTANZIATO_A V_STANZIATI_A 'SEZIONE A'.
The warning message appears if I execute the planning sequence through RSPLAN but if I execute it from Analysis for Office the message doesn't show up. Only error messages show up while warning and information messages appears if another error message is triggered.
Additional Info:
Analysis for Office 2.6 SP2
SAP BW 7.52 SP00
S/4 HANA 17.09
Thanks,
Michele
And it still doesn't show you the warnings?
Then the only thing I can think of is that it's due to the source system (S/4 in your case). We're working on top of BW7.5 SP11 and we get all messages through nicely (on AFO 2.7 SP2).

Well actually now I see the messages but I had to mantain the table RSADMIN with the parameter RS_USE_DEBUG_LEVEL_USER_PARAM = X and we have to set the parameter RS_DEBUGLEVEL = 3/4/5 on every user to show at least warnings.
I even tried on the old BEx Analyzer but the behaviour is the same.
Thanks,
Michele
Have you tried with a more recent version of AFO?

Hi Michele,
If messages are not shown in frontend, you might have to set the parameter RS_DEBUGLEVEL for your user id.
Go to Transaction SU01 for your user, Tab "Parameters" insert the Parameter and set it to level 5.
This should show all messages in the frontend.

Cornelia

Hi Andrey & Michele,
In my instance even Fox error messages are not passed on to AFO. While in RSPLAN they work.
I've already tried to implement this note:
https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/1942970
But it yields the same result. Only the technical OK result value is shown of the planning sequence/function.
Do you maybe have some more insights?
Thanks,
jelmer

Hi,
May be the following will help:
Open Analysis, goto File->Analysis->Costomize Analysis->Technical Configuration.
There, in upper part search "mess..." and you will see "ShowSuppressedMessages".
Tick the checkbox and see if it helps.
