more filters in search page

in the forums search page i.e. in [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/forumsearch|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/forumsearch] ,

the current fields are:

Search Terms:

Category or Forum:

Date Range:

Results Per Page:

Mostly i want to see if the the threads are already answered, to quickly find the most relevant threads.

Would it be good to add one more field (a filter infact):

Answered Status:

(it could be a dropdown with the values "All threads" (default), "Answered threads", "Partly answered threads" and "Open threads".. something like that.)

In the search page, you can see those threads which were Answered with dark green star (10 points colour).

yes, that is an option.

We need the basic search option

"quotation marks - exact phrase"

-unwanted words use minus sign

Dear Shlomy Shalom,

your point is very much valid. you are referring more or like google kind of search functionality.

But pls post this suggestion as a new thread instead of on this "more filters in search page" thread. i guess then it would be looked by the moderators from SAP who are working on the search functionality.
