Hi All,
I have a scenario which involves transfer of EDi files
it is a B2B scenario where files need to be transferred from customer ERP to Customer VAN and from there it should be transffered to XI how can it we acheive this ?
Can we use Seeburger VAN adapter to transfer EDI files from customer ERP to Customer VAN?
From there picking in to XI SEEBURGER AS2 can be used or Seeburger VAN adapter which will be more advantageous?
Any more ideas Plz?

I think there must be some standard procedure for sending your files from Customer ERP to their VAN inbox. Seeburger FTP (VAN) adapter would be helpful in connecting further to XI.
Can we use Seeburger VAN adapter to transfer EDI files from customer ERP to Customer VAN?
Seeburger could be used in two ways.
One with XI - In this case VAN adapter purpose is to communicate the VAN inbox and XI. And not the communication between customer ERP to customer VAN.
From there picking in to XI SEEBURGER AS2 can be used or Seeburger VAN adapter
The AS2 adapter has altogether a different usage. AS2 is used for communication for EDIINT protocol.

Prateek

hi
before implementation check what is the file format in which message is send to customer, what are the message type involved, what is the WAN id of customer etc then go for the implementation.
which one to use: refer the below link.
http://www.seeburger.com/fileadmin/com/pdf/AS2_General_Overview.pdf
refer the below link for start.
inorder to start:-
1) First deploye the Std seeburger mapping provided by see burger on XI
2) If you are using the AS2 adapter then you have to install the AS2 server on XI server.
3) Once you install the std seeburger on SAP XI server you will see the AS2,X400,OFTPS,VAN adapter on XI ID.
5) You need to call the std mapping in the adapter module which does the conversion from EDI to XML and XML to EDI.
