Authority check for variants of a report

Hello Friends,

I need to give authority to specific users to change the variants of a report.

If any other user is changing the variants ,i need to disable the 'Save' button on the selection screen and for only specific users i need to enable the 'Save' button on the selection screen .

Please any suggesion from your side.

Hi,

There is a option called protect variant which when u check it the variant can be changed by person who created or last changed.You can try this option.

Hello ,

Your answer is not suitable for my requirement.

My requirement is as follow.

One report is having many variants .

I need check each and every user who is executing the report and only specific users can be allowed to change the existing variants and the remaining users the can't be allowed to change the existing variants.

i.e. For only specific users I need to enable the save button on the selection screen and for the reaming users I need to disable the save button on the selection screen.

If any body has worked on the above or similar task please help me.
