Hi,
what is the advantages of sap database of oracle vs sap database of sql..
please guide me as soon as possible..
Thx in advance..
SAP is agnostic of the underlying database. There are several databases for SAP systems available:
- Oracle
- IBM DB2
- SAPs own database "MaxDB"
- Microsoft SQL Server
The database chosen is a strategically decision usually made by the company. Oracle is a complex database, you have hundreds of parameters to tune and to speed up the system. SQL Server is "easy" in sense of administration but it may be difficult/impossible to tune in certain situation.
