How to move Individual Customers to Accounts?

Dear experts,

we have some customers in SAP ECC that - after the migration - became Individual Customers in C4C. We'd like to make them become "Accounts" without removing the flag "Natural person" in SAP ECC.

So we have two points:

1. Create a mapping in order to consider Natural persons as Accounts when migrated;

2. Massively change a list of Individual customers, making them become Accounts.

Thanks for your suggestions.

P.T.

Dear P.T,

In C4C just like ECC, there are 2 categories for Business Partners,

1 - Natural Person

2 - Organization.

Once a BP is created with any of the above category, it cannot be modified later. So already replicated Individual Customers cannot be converted to Accounts.

However, if you really intend to replicate Natural Persons to C4C as Accounts then you need to make use of custom mappings in middleware to manipulate the CategoryCode as 2.

For existing Individual Customers, you can remove the ID Mappings and then set them as Obsolete.

*If you are using middleware mappings to maintain same ID's for BP between ECC and C4C, then removing ID Mapping and setting them obsolete wont work, when you try to replicate such a account again with ReceiverInternalID same as ECC it would fail saying the Individual Customer already exists.

Hope this helps.

Hi Shivanand,

thanks for the information. Could you tell me what determines the category assignment?
Is this due only to the flag "Natural Person" (KNA1 - STKZN) or there is anything else? I couldn't find any documentation about this.

Thanks

Dear P.T,

Yes CategotryCode is basically determined by whether the BP is a Natural Person or Organization.
