Regarding Solution Manager 7.2 usage with SAP Cloud Platform for Data Services

Hello SAP CPI DS community,

I am trying to explore Monitoring and Test Management features with SAP CPI DS using Solution Manager 7.2. SAP has updated some information related to the same.

I have few queries related to this context..

1.How do you perform Monitoring and Test Management capabilities with CPI DS? What is the recommended approach and under what conditions?

2.Has anybody uses Solution Manager 7.2 to Monitor the CPI DS Tasks? If so how is the experience using Solman 7.2 monitoring capabilities?

3.Only two scenarios (Failed tasks and Failed tasks in 24 hours)can be monitored using Solman 7.2 as per the documentation?Are there ways to customise more scenarios?

    Hi Siva,

    While I have not directly used Solution Manager to monitor CPI-DS, I think the basic abilities of this monitor are coming from the CPI-DS web services. The various SOAP services allow for running tasks, pulling logs, and checking status over a range of time periods (so it is not just in the last 7 days).

    CPI-DS web services are the underlying infrastructure that enables job automation in integrations from SAP ERP to IBP, which is a major use case for many customers. You can take that as an endorsement of these web services as a monitoring tool.
