Asset creation

Hi,

When i create a new asset (Tcode AS01) the system force me to choose a specific allocation group (in Allocations' table) and i can't change it !

Please how to solve that and have a free choice ?

Hi

Path for making the field as optional.

SPRO-Asset accountingMaster data-screen layout---Define screen layout for asset master data

Check the setting against asset class..in Field group rules against logical field group "allocation" make it optional ...

Hi,

Please note down the screen layout rule key, which is assigned to your asset class, under which your are trying to create an asset.

Adn go to spro->img->fin acc->asset acc->master data-> screen layout->define screen layout for asset master data --choose define screen layout for asset master data

There select ur screen layout rule, which you found in ur asset class and select logical field group sub node on the left hand side and now u will find all the logical field groups in the right hand side.

Select logical field group 4 -Allocations and select field group rules in the left hand side subnode.

Now you will find all the fields, those shown in the allocations tab in the asset master record.

So can make the field status as per ur requirement.

Field status for any field in the asset master can be done throguh this above steps.

Hopes this will defenitely fix your issue.

Thanks for the explanation, but it's not resolve my problem.

When i create a new asset i must choose the number 6500 (material) as an allocation for the first Evaluation group, if i choose an other one the system change it with 6500 when i save !

Please any idea about how to have a free choice ?

IMG --> Fin Acctg --> Asset Acctg --> Master Data --> User fields --> Enter Your User Fields in Asset Class.

Evaluation group might be defaulted from Asset class and which maintenance as per screen layout might be at asset class level. please check asset class default values.

if you want to maintain evaluation values at asset level change the screen layout rules for master data by selecting check box against asset.
