Hello experts,

I created an ABAP user and mapped it to HANA user using synchronization: I receive successfull message, but user does not appear in HANA. I tried it create it manually but it cannot add DDIC tables into HANA artifacts.

Can you help me please? Which step am I missing?

Thanks in advance

I'm guessing that the user doesn't have rights to the ABAP Schema. But that's just a guess as you don't have much details as to what is doing wrong adding the tables.

Hi Thomas, thanks for your reply.

I cannot add ABAP DDIC tables in HANA artifacts, they're not available in the list. For example, I cannot add MARA table because it's not available. If I create a table on my own schema, it's available. I also cannot add object privilege on ABAP schema to my user.

Thanks in advance for help.

Best regards

There isn't much to go on here. But if you aren't seeing the objects at all that would seem to indicate that your user might not even have schema level security to the ABAP schema (in which case it won't even show up in the catalog view of the Studio). Or you have an MDC system and you are logged into HANA in a different tenant than where the ABAP schema exists.
