Material Stock Issue ?

Dear All ,

I m facing a problem that user at maint is always raising a P.R with Acct aassign. = K for elect & mech Spares so that in cost center he given the Cost Center of maint deptt , then P.O with Acct assign is made for this P.R now GRN is done but material is not visible in MMBE as it goes to Stk Consump.But here user wants that how can this material be transferred to material stock in the same way as all raw material goes to Unrestricted stk during GRN. pL help what to do in this case.

Hi,

Don't create the PO acct assigned as it would only lead to consumption posting.

Please follow the procurement of direct material concept(item category ' '-standard and w'o acct assgt)

thanx 2 u deepak ur suggestion is good , so for next purchase we can use std item cat & no acct. assign will be used in P.R & in P.O. , but pl tell me that at present the material lying in Consumption stock so how this material be transferred to unrestricted stock ? Do u have some idea .

Hi,

For your reference, materials have been consumed, not in consumption stock.

You can reverse the GR against the PO and delete the acct assigned line item and add a new line item in the same PO.)if you dont want the PO no to be recreated)

Or else you could opt to create a new PO.

but for that material which is lying in boxes physically not consumed & in system it is in Cosumption stock how this material be transferred to unrestricted stock. Did i mean that once it is posted to consumption stock then it means that it is fully consumed also , but in reality it is remaining in stores physically.

Reversal is the only option available for you as material consumed(its no more as it has been used up)....

Physical availability wont count as system doesn't know that the physically available stock in your warehouse/stores.

That is what am trying to explain to you that system shows asif that material were consumed..

so you have to reverse and perform a erceipt to stock...

though PR is created by acct asignent- corresponding PO can be created without acct assign- after which material will be come to unrestrcited stock

When creating PO you change the acco. assign.type as standard.otherwise it lead to consumptonaccount only.
