Special Ledger Indicator not defined here

Hi,

We have created our own special G/L indicator P for debt issue costs. However when transacting (the nature of which is amortization) using F-02 a system error stating "Special GL indicator P is not defined here pops The account type is K . I have through OBYR, FBKP, and OBXR but to no avail it's still not successful.

Did you check if you have specified the text for the posting keys in OBYR and also the nature of the special gl indicator between the three"

1. Down Payment/Down Payment request

2. Others

3. BOE

If you could put in info on the error message no and also the full text of error message, it would help

Hi,

The nature of the special gl indicator is Others. In OBYR however, there is no P SGL Indicator. I tried creating one but instead it Prompts: "Special indicator already exists" - (which is true considering that in FBKP the indicator is already defined) despite the fact that it doesn't appear in the OBYR list. Thank you!

Hi

It means that the Special GL Indicator is not extended for your chart of accounts. I would suggest, assigning the GL Account and alternative recon account for Special GL Indicator P for your chart of accounts through FBKP. Thereafter, you should be able to see the same in OBYR and hopefully your error should also get resolved.
