Our company is building a Windows client application that uses the viewer for Crystal Reports 2013. We have used service packs 17 and 19, and recently discovered that service packs up to version 22 are now available. However, after installing version 22, our application which was compiled against the older service packs no longer works. It appears that it is not possible to have multiple versions of the Crystal runtime on a computer. While we could change the references in our application to only use the newest service pack, there is a potential problem if any of our customers ever install any other software that uses a different version of the Crystal runtime. Either the other software will break ours, or our application will break the other software. We have no control over what other software our customers might install on their computers. Is there any possible way to install our application so that it does not conflict with a different version of the Crystal runtime that might be used by some other software vendor?
