Broadcasting Report for Different Profit Centers

Dear Guru's,

We had a requirement of sending the report for different profit centers using broadcasting.when i am selecting variablw entry or filter value system is not allowing me to broadcast the report,request you to please sent me the step by step procedure to broadcast a report using filters.

Hi Sapta,

Please contact your admin EP team to give you the enough admin access to broadcast these Profit center query. You are not authorised to Broadcast.

Dear Simon,

when i am broadcasting the report with profit center as filter from portal the Broadcasting screen is coming and i am able to do the required settings also, but while processing it is showing user1 is not authenticated.

There is no entry of server in RSPRECADMIN and not even any green light.yes we do have the java stack in BI.7.

Are you trying to broadcast a query or broadcast a workbook

If you plan to broadcast a query only - you do not need to go into rsprecadmin (and the subsequent addition of a intel hardware for the precalc server)

When you go into broadcasting via the portal - can you see the broadcastign screen?

In our report we are using profit center as a variable,and i had chked the tcode also RSPRECADMIN but in our system it is not opening in IE,pls suggest what to do next,is any setting is required to set up the precalculation admin.

Hi,

Is there any active(Green light) server in RSPRECADMIN ?

If you have , check these steps once

1st check the server is ready or not in RSPRECADMIN T-code.

If it is green then you can broadcast it.

Goto to your query>tools>distribute workbook-->it will open in new window(internet explorer). there you can see the create settings for new one. if it is allready existing just select that --> in down you can see 3 tabs.

in 1st tab you can give E-mail ids which you want to broadcast the report. and also you need to slect output format of the report as excel file and also check the check box as zip file.

in 2nd tab you can provide subject line and information do you want to pass to the users.

in 3rd tab you can give variables by clicking on CHANGE.

finally you can schedule it in background.

If any queries revert back.

Hi Sapta,

Do you have variables for Profit center ? if you have means you can create that query as workbook ans distribute that workbook in BEX Broadcaster(from Tools). For this you required Precalculation server , just check this in RSPRECADMIN T-code. It will open in Ineternet explorer there you need to create settings for Profit center wise and according to the specific mail id's. and save it and schedule for your required periodic.
