Hi,

I have scheduled a webi report as pdf format to some email recpients, the schedule is sucess, i can able to download the file in Launchpad/CMC., but email is not generated to the recipients . I tested using my email but i dont recevied it as well. When i rescheduled the report with less prompts the pdf size is less than say 8 mb and so i can abel to receive the email with attachemtnn, With more prompts the output is of more size which is around 20 mb , though the instance is success in bo we cant abel to receive the attachment in email.

Can you please help us , what could be possible fix for this.

is that anywhere in cmc we could increase the size of the webi outputs or something like that ?

Regards

MK

Email attachment is based on the your SMTP admin settings. You need to check with SMTP tewam to verify the limit on the email attachments. This is nothing to do with business objects.

HI Jawahar,

I also tested by downloading the pdf (20MB) and sent that from my mail id and to my colleague, it was successful.

So this mean my SMTP server is allowing the large attachments.

i am afraid it must be something to do with BO .

Most likely your SMTP server is not allowing large attachments and you need to talk to mail server administrator about this.
Since you didn't provide the actual error or trace log information nor product versions and architectures involved - that's all that can be said about this situation.

Hi Denis,

I do know how to trace the logs when the schedule is success but the email is not received.

Would appreciate if you can help me in doing that.

Regarding the product, we are currently using BI 4.2 SP 1

that is a good test, but not entirely apples to apples.
Proper trace will show where the error comes from.
