Decimal places are not calculated in BPC

Hello,

we experienced a strange behaviour in a BPC 5.1 SP3 set-up with MS SQL Server 2005.

When data is sent to the db via a Excel input schedule that does not have decimal places, all aggregations (group levels) are calculated correctly by the system. When we change these figures into figures having decimals places, then no sums are being built by the system. All group levels stay empty.

Switching decimal signs from "," to "." (this is a German set-up) does not help the situation.

We looked into data on db level. The db engine itself carries correct data, all decimals are accepted correctly and a SQL based summation returns correct sums, all decimals of the sum are fine.

Therefore we suspect a faulty set-up parameter somewhere in the triangle BPC - Analysis Services - DB engine.

Did somebody experience a similar behaviour somewhere and know a way to attack this issue ? What are the places to check for ?

Perhaps somebody can share opinions.

Thank you.

Regards.

Wolfgang
