Can a Normal purchase order with parts that have BOM be sent to supplier and receive back in MIGO for GR enter the part with its components and manage their inventory? Similar to subcontracting L but this case is not subcontracting and as the customer does not send any material to supplier and do any other step.
CURRENT SCENARIO:
Example: Currently Client sends P.O. to Supplier requesting oneToilet. Toilet is composed of 3 parts Top, Tank and Base. Currently Client requests one toilet and GR they recive one Toilet. Client manages costs by (Parent) part because they don´t have BOM currently. The part is purchase as a whole and saled the part as a whole the same. In other words Client Buys One part with 3 componentes(childs) but only gives GR to One (Parent) partand sales One (Parent) part only. Components are not playing on this scenario. Costs Only by Parent and iventory is storaged in different locations not controled given that components are not control in GR with locations.
EXPECTED SCENARIO: Client sends P.O. to Supplier requesting one Toilet. Toilet is composed of 3 parts Top, Tank and Base. Client requests one toilet and GR they want to be able to GR the 3 componentes that form the Parent part.
In other words customner wants to Buys One part with 3 componentes(childs) and want to receive in MIGO the components that form the parent part or the parent part with its 3 childs. Now client expects to control their inventory by components with their WM locations. When selling they will send again by parents but and want to be able to see what components form that Parent part at the sales document.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
• Customer does NOT produce toilets.
• Customer purchases and sales toilets in other words parent parts whole kits only.
• Customer does not sale component parts. Only the whole kit. Just in very rare cases will customer buy components as parts to sell but it can be control with different part number if necessary.
• Customer expects not cost on components they will keep managing cost in parent part. Customer wants to manage inventory control through components with WM and locations.
* Parts arrive to Customers plant storage in separate boxes in the transportation vehicle. They don´t arrive assemble.
* This is not a subcontracting case were client sends raw material or components to supplier and then supplier assembles and returns to customer.
