Material Group Description 2

Hi specialists,

Concerning material groups, via MM01 I have the possibility to search with description 1 and description 2. Via ME21N, I only have the possibility to search with description 1. Description 1 = short description and description 2 = long description. Does anyone know what to change in order to be able to search with description 2 also via ME21N?

hi,

check with the userexit...MM06E005 - Customer fields in purchasing documents

Else as suggested you can go for the coding alongwith the ABAP consultant for the defining the new field for the description in the PO via refencing the respective table..

In Table V023 you can find both the fields WGBEZ (Material Group Description) and WGBEZ60(Long text describing the material group),

I think in PO screen level programming we need to include the field

ME21N Program SAPLMEGUI has the Field WGBEZ but not WGBEZ60

Check the possibilities with ABAP consultant

Thanks, indeed table V023 is the table of the material group definition, to define via transaction OMSF.

Does anyone has other ideas concerning how to display the long description in ME21N?
