Making the Profit Center Field mandatory for Plant

Hi,

We have to make the Profit center field (MARC-PRCTR) mandatory for few Plants for Material Master Creation (MM01). We created a new Field reference under the Field selection group 48 and made it an Optional Entry. Still, in the material master creation the field remained mandatory.

Pls advise asap.

Hi,

You have created new field reference for material master & assigned to field selection group 48, make that field ref as mandatory.

Assign that field ref to plants for which you want profit center as mandatory field while creating material master.

Path is

SPRO-IMG-Logistics General-Material master-Field Selection-Define Plant-Specific Field Selection and Plant-Specific Screen Selection.

Hi Ravi,

Thnx for yr response. I wanted the filed to be "optional entry" for one plant and accordingly chngd it for the newly created Field Reference. Also, tagged it to the required Plant. Still while created the material thru MM01 the field remains mandatory.

Pls advise further.
