ESI Eligibility Limit

Hello Experts,

I would like to know what determines the basis for ESI eligibility limit. Is it the Gross pay in IT 0008 or the /101- Total Gross amount wagetype value?.. Please comment on the same

Hi Ravishankar,

This is /101

Consider wage type entered in 0008 are Basic and HRA but you pay other component in 0014 and 0015

as regular salary for gross salary. hence they will also be the part of gross Salary for ESI Basis

Hence the basis for ESI eligibility limit is /101

Hi,

It will not come in the total gross amount and this is deduction wage type.
