Hi,

You said :

Have you checked the ports on /etc/services so they are not coliding, also what about this error:

version of external and kernel dp lib mismatch (ext lib

version is 136000 / kernel lib version is 241000)

did you download a different kernel than the one that comes with DVD?

Hi

Since you are able to start the shadow instance when main instance is shutdown ,there seems to be memory problems on the host .

Try following workaround

1. reduce the number of work processes on the main instance so that memory consumption will be less for main and can be utilised by shadow instance

2. Follow the Note 525677 - Problems when starting the shadow instance

Hope this will solve your problem

success!!

Hi Ganesh,

Thanks for the update. I have already done the same that you have mentioned but it doesn't work.

Yes ,If that does not work then the best way to check memory pool is

with sidadm user ---sappfpar check pf=<> nr<>

It will give you additinal memory required for running both instances

Accordingly change parameters and try to start both systems

Hope it will help
