Hi Experts.
I have 2 dist channels and 3 divisions, suppose D & E are Dist Cha. and A, B and C are divisions.
I have created cust (10) for sales area PPPP, D, A but i have the material(Z) for PPPP,D but division is B.
When i am creating SO for PPPP,D,A and cust (10) which belongs to same sales area but when i am incerting material (Z-PPPP,D,B) system gives error - "Ship-to party 10 not defined for sales area PPPP D B."
I tried to common divisions OVR2,
S O Div DivCon DivCust
PPPP A A A
PPPP B B B
PPPP C C C
There is no New Entry option, only entries in dark i can change...
How can i sale Material from different divisions to customers who are created for different Sales Areas?
Please Help...
Prashant.
Hi Prashanth
The system is behaving 100% perfect
Your Case
These are the sales areas
THER DO RE
THER DO AG
THER DO VE
Customer A exists in sales area THER DO RE
Check your MMR the material is div AG
Your assignments are fine in VOR2 But the system will not check MMR why refer to my earlier threads
Settings in OVR2,
SOrg--
DivCustomer
THER--
RE*
THER--
AG*
THER--
VE*
So the common dist channel for AG is RE and RE
So the common dist channel for RE is AG and AG
So the common dist channel for VE is VE and VE
You are entering an order for this customer A sales area THER DO RE
But the material belongs to div AG
Here header div is RE and item div is AG
Forget common div assignment because it will not check the MMRs
Since header div and item div differs you need to create a ship to party in sales area THER DO AG and assign him to this sold to party A in his sales area THER DO RE
or alternatively (this is what i suggested earlier)
You extend this customer A who is in sales area THER DO RE to the sales area THER DO AG
Without these you will not be able to create the order sir in your case
Why new entries option is not there in VOR1 and VOR2 because we are defining dis channel and div in enterprise structure and here we are defining only common DC and Common div
So whatever DC and DIV you have created in enterprise structure will flow here and for them you have to give Common DC and Common DIv
Sir i have tried to explain you to my fullest capacity
+Distribution channel is an organizational unit in CMR,MMR,and condition master+
+Hence the data can be shared across Distribution channels+
+Division is anorganizational unit in CMR,,and condition master only+
+Hence you are not finding Material in Common divisions in VOR2+
*+Division is field in MMR which we mention in basic data 1and sales org data1 while creating a material in MM01+
Regards*

Hi Prashanth
The common distribution channel assignment in VOR1 means say for e.g Your Dis channel is 10 and common dist channel is 20 and when you create a sales order with Dis channel 10 the system will check for all condition records, customer records and material master records in distribution channel 20
The common division assignment in VOR2 means say for e.g Your divis 01and common divis 02and when you create a sales orderwith div 01 the system will check for all condition records, customer records and not material master records in division 02
It is because division is a field in MMR not an organization unit
So MMR cannot be shared according to divisions
In VOR1 You will see all conditions ,customers, and materials
In VOR2 You will see only all conditions ,customers, and not materials
You have to do it in XD01 only not not by any other way
To understand the purpose of VOR1 and VOR2 and the logic which i explained you, for me to understand it took 2 days

Dear Prashant,
Just try:
T. Code: MM02
Key-in your Material-Code and Hit "Enter".
Now, System will ask for "Select Views", and click ok.
Next, System will ask for "Organizational Levels", i.e. Plant, Sales Org. & Dist. Channel.
Important: here, you are not maintaining "Division".
Now, go in to Material-Master-Record.
Under Tab: Sales: sales org.1, you will find Field: Division.
Maintain this field as "BLANK".
Now, go back to Sales Order and Create. System will not throw erro.
Best Regards,
Amit

Hi
Pls check OVR2 in common divisions
It is for conditions and customers only Not for materials as written by you
Because the div in MMR itself is a field so the MMR master data cannot be shared
Hence you have to extend this customer to the sales area where the division of the material lies in XD01
Then only it will work
In simple MMR cannot be shared across divisions
In case of Distribution channels it is OK
What exactly is your error
I can help you ?

Hi Raja,
I will tell you the real scenario,
SOrg----
THER
Dist Cha----
DO
Divisions----
RE,AG,VE
Customer(A)---THER,DO,RE
Material(X)------THER,DO,AG
Settings in OVR2,
SOrg--
DivCustomer
THER--
RE*
THER--
AG*
THER--
VE*
There is no new entry option, only entries in dark i can modify.
When i create sales order for THER,DO,RE and enter customerX and materialA
then system gives me error as "Ship-to party 100114 not defined for sales area THER DO AG"
Please Help.
Prashant.
Hi Prashant,
As per your setting I want you do this kind of customizing
Do this kind of setting for common distribution channel
PPPP D D D
PPPP E D D
And for common division do this kind of setting
PPPP A B B
PPPP B B B
PPPP C B B
Save the entries and try to create your order now
It might work
Regards
Raj.
