Change the value posted in CE1XXXX table

Hi,

We had a customer#1000 in sales order while first settlement has been executed and customer#1000 has been updated in table CE1XXXX with record type A. Now user changed customer on sales order to 2000 and all new settlements are going with customer number2000.All this is fine. But now the user is asking that even old customer values in CE1XXXX has to be changed to 2000 in place of posted values 1000.

Is this possible if so is it riskY or advisable?

thanks hinfi

    Dear hin fico,

There is a direct link between tables CE1XXXX and CE4XXXX. In the table CE1XXXX system fills the PAOBJNR linked with CE4XXXX table.

In table CE1XXXX there is PAOBJNR but system finds the related characteristics assigned to PAOBJNR in CE1XXXX from CE4XXXX table.

First of all, it is not advisable to change any data in CE1XXXX but if you have to do it please consider required changes in CE4XXXX table.,

Hello Thanks all,we have decided to change the business process to make sure that customer is not changed after COPA settlement. So this scenario is not applicable to and hence closing this thread.
