Deleting a SU01-Pros and Cons

Hello,

Can someone tell me a few Pros and Cons for deleting former employee accounts. We have always expired accounts but now would like to completely delete employee accounts once they leave. Is there a standard practice? Can you please tell me a few Pros and Cons for deleting SU01s.
