transfering data from production env to quality and dev

Hi all BI experts,

we have got one requirement of transfering data from a cube in production server to Quality and Development.

Production cube should behave like a data source in this case.

Please let me know how to proceed. I have not not faced such strange requirement.

any help in this regard will be appreciated and rewarded with SDN points

Hi,

You can't directly create a datamart interface from Production to any other object in another system like Dev or QA.

What you can do is download the data from the Production cube into a flat file and load that into the cube in Dev or QA in case you need the exact same data.

First tell me how you got data in to ur cube.

R u getting dat from any R/3 system ?

If so you can get the same data through same source system.

thanks for your suggestion.

But client want to do testing on real time data.

And they dont want any RFC connection between Quality bw to Prod R3 system.
