default notification

Hi All

I want to use a default notification type when creating an order from the menu item ; environment>create>maintenance request

while in the functional location screen, cant seem to find the right bit of config to set this , does anyone know where it is?

HI'

from IL02 when you create notification system picks the defualt notificationtype. then from notification we can create the order, when you create the order you can have default ordertype.

the setting is in IMG Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>Maintenance and Service Processing>Maintenance and Service Notifications>Notification Creation>Notification Types-->Assign Notification Types to Order Types.

Hi,

Are you creating a order or a notification from the functional location ?

At the path you mention I would expect to see:

Environment > Create notification > maintenance request

That creates a maintenance request notification, transaction IW26. Maybe yours is configured as a service request - IW56. To define a default notification type for notification transactions you can set customizing:

>> Maintenance and Service Notifications >Notification Creation >Notification Types >Define Transaction Start Values

For the various transactions then set a default notification type.

From the IL03 transaction there is also an option:

Environment > Create order

That calls IW31 with a PM order type. Same default as calling IW31 directly - may be user specified or will default to last used order type.

i think there is no poblem in that onec you select the type of notification system will create the same type of notificaion select

or is there anthying else can you explain your querry
