Hi gurus,

Could you please clarify that one batch can have two valuation types?

It depends on what you call one batch.

A batch can be defined at client level, material level and plant level.

Within one plant one batch cannot have 2 valuation types.

But the same batch number in different plants can have a different valuation type.

Hi

Yes it is possible

materials come under same batch if they are having same properties.

so if a material is imported and if a material is produced in plant they have bth have same properties.

a batch can have 2 valuation types.

Hi

Can you please explain your scenario in detail??

If the material split valuation is batch then one batch is one valuation type.

Hi Prsad, thanks for your reply

My scenario is:- split valuation is active, val.category is X (automatic batch)

recently new plant was launched.

material recieved with batch b1 and val.type 01 ( I dont know how it was allowed with batch differed from val type previously)

now a PO was raised with batch b1 and val type b1 only

at the time of gr system issuing error message the valu type B1 is not correct for plant and materials

In msc3n for batch ba and for the comb of material and plant valu type is 01, I tried to change here but not allowing and throwing error message "val type b1 is not maintained in plant and mat"

In fact in the jprevious gr val type 01 was wrongly posted and after that some more transactions were happened with val type 01

now here after I want to use val type b1 only, could you please advice how to achieve this
