Hi All,
This is one for the people using Mimix for High Availabilty.
Has anyone using Mimix had to instigate DR to the point of having to perform an Unplanned Switch? If so, what were the effects on your system? Was there any data loss? Was recovery to your primary machine easy, or was there a lot of pain in getting things back to normal?
Thanks,
Dan
Hello Dan,
Unplanned Mimix switch is not much different from the planned switch. (the tasks/errors on the production server will be ignored, and the tasks on the replication server should bring SAP up and running)
If the Mimix is well maintained - data, programs, document, etc, the unplanned switch should be just as smooth as the planned ones. No data loss should happen, and all the interfaces should work.
The switching back will depend on the reason why the production system is down, and how you can synchronize the data back...
Best regards,
Victor
