Barcode font issue

Hello everyone,

I have created a report with Crystal Reports 11 R1, containing a PDF417 code. The code is generated by encoding the source string with an UFL and displaying it with a PDF417 font (it's a wingdings type font).

First time when you run the report, instead of diplaying the encoded text with the PDF417 font, it displays it in Arial. If i close the report and run it again, the barcode is displayed correctly.

Do you know what problem might we be dealing with here?

Thank you.

Hi Catalin

From the issue description, it seems that the report display the PDF417 font when you refresh the report for the second time. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Let us know the following details:

1. Exact version of Crystal Reports Designer. (For this information, open Crystal Reports Designer. Go to Help > About Crystal Reports).

2. Go to the format field of the respective filed and check with the font selected for it. If it is Arial then select the wingdingu2019s font. Save the report and refresh the report and let us know the results.

3. What happens if we refresh the report first time and export the report to the PDF format?

Hope this helps.

Thanks!
