IO to AUC settlement posting date problem

Hi,

When i try to settle IO to a AUC in current period, system is posting in 12/31/2008 date and Asset value date also go to 12/31/2008. Can you tell me where this 12/31/2008 date is coming from. I am sure its not from asset class or the settlement profile but...???

I have looked at the Dep key(0000) period control also and it is fine.

Please guide on how to fix this problem, points will be assigned as an appreciation.

when you are doing AUC settlement it considers month end date since it is a period end processing transaction. If you want a specific date on which you want to settle then insert the required date in Asset value date field...

What is the tcode you are using for this settlement?

I am using KO88 to settle IO to AUC, i know i can give the Asset value date in KO88 but my real problem is the Posting date, system is trying to settle this in 12/31/2008 date, i don't know where is this date is coming from? Later in the process... when i settle the AUC to Main asset(AIAB), system is asking to enter the posting date of the AUC, which is 12/31/2008. Client doesn't like thhis.

Please advise.

Bushan,

When you are doing settlement from IO to AUC, it will always consider month end date which is SAP standard since it is a period end processing transaction. In case of settlement from AUC to Asset account, use Asset value date field and system will calculate depreciation from date mentioned in asset value date field....
