BOM - Item Duplication- Allowing - Reg.

Dear All,

I have faced this followed issue, in customer site.

In BOM, the application is allowing the duplication of item, in multiple rows or more than one row.

Our customer entered the same item twice in BOM window, by mistake due to the high volume of the BOM item nearly 70 and more.. When we run MRP, system generates Production, Purchase orders seperately.

Doubt is,

1. Any reasons for allowing duplication items.

2. How we want to control it.

It would be very helpful to me and rewarded for your valuable suggestions.
