How can I extract data of table GLFUNCA to BW

Hi experts:

There is content datasource(FI_GL_7) for getting the data from table GLFUNCT ,but I can't find bi content datasource for table GLFUNCA . Is there a content datasource for GLFUNCA ? If no, how can I extract data of GLFUNCA to BW .thank you for your help.

To be quite honest - I have just used 0FI_GL_4 for this as the GLFUNCA table is just a subset of it

I tried to use FI-SL TO generate datasoure for GLFUNCT .After I run BW01 generate extractor for GLFUNCA , when I run BW03 ,there ian't any ledger for selection .I don't why.Does any one have the same problem?

I think about it .but the data volum of the table GLFUNCA is large, and also I have to generate a delta mechanisim .do you think it is a better way than using fi_gl_4 ?

Hi Cindy,

If you're getting the required fields without making any changes to the 0FI_GL_4 DS, then that is the definitely the most efficient way to get the data. If though, you have to make any enhancements - like customer exits - to the DS to get the data, you could direclty make a DataSource based on the table itself from RSO2.

As for the delta mechanism, you can enable your generic datasource to do that. With regards to data volume, no matter what mechanism you use, you will have to get the records from the GLFUNCA table itself. The only way you can affect the performance of the extraction is if you use inefficient code in a customer exit.

Hi Cindy...

If fi_gl_4 is fullfilling all ur requirement..........then there is no meaning to go for a generic one........we will only go for a generic datasource........when there will be no standard datasource for our requirement....even enhancement is also not useful.........

Large number of records does'nt matters............its ok......anyhow u r already going for a delta mechanism............so changes of will not be so huge............So I think u should go for fi_gl_4........
