SMD Server Check. EWA-JAVA

Hi

I have installed solman 7.0 with SP16.

I want to setup Ewa for Java..

Til now

I have installed Wily introscope Enterprise manager 7.2 at solution manager server.

SMD agent and INtroscope agent installed at satellite system.

I am not sure wether SMD server is installed in my solution manager server automatically or

Should I install any SMD (Server/agent) at Solution manager server ?.

You dont have to install SMD agents on solman.

You need to install SMD & Wily on satellite systems & register the agents with Introscope Enterprise Manager.

To check whether SMD is installed - > ps -ef | grep smd.

Also u can check logs under /usr/sap/SMD/J*/...

Also you can check in Enterprise Manager - http://host:8081/webview ->Investigator - under instance u should be two nodes, one for smd agent & other for wily.

I have installed the SMD agent & Wily agent on satellite systems.

and Installed wily introscopemanager on Solman server.

1.Please let me know how register the agents with Introscope Enterprise Manager.?

2.Is there any SMD server required to install at Solman server?.

Hi gurus please help me as i am new to SMD

i have 7.0 ehp1 solution manager which has been upgraded from its previous version

now i have to do the SMD & WILY INTERSCOPE installation on solution manage as well as on

Enterprise portal (netweaver 7.0 sps 14)

as i have seen on many forum that 7.0 ehp1 (sps 18) smd server get install by default when we install

solution manager

but in my case i have checked the following directory /USR/SAP/<DASID> that does not exsit on solution manager file system

so its mean the SMD server is not installed on solution manager

so do i have to first install the SMD server on solution manager then

2) wily enterprise manager on solution manager

3) SMD agent on Enterprise portal

please clear this SMD server concept

i will be very thankful to you
