BO4 .2 SP05 recurring instances running immediately once resumed

Hi,

Have found the following.

When resume a recurring instance which was previously paused, it will run immediately when resume is selected then run at its normal recurring schedule interval.

Was expecting when select resume, for it to wait until next run time in the recurring schedule interval before running.

As such, when we update production environment want to avoid pausing all recurring instances and only pause those that would run during that day.

Know generally best to pause all recurring instances but due to this behaviour want to avoid having to selectively resume reports otherwise if resumed all recurring instances would be swamped.

searched forum and sap service marketplace to see if this behaviour of resume recurring instance is by design but not found anything relevant - seems to be same behaviour in 4.0 SP08 and 4.2 SP05 suggesting not a 'bug'

Can anyone advise if seen similar behaviour?

Thanks

It does this because the "next run time" in the paused instance is whatever it was when the schedule was paused. This means that it's most likely in the past, which causes the schedule to run immediately.
