We installed Sap Netweaver Identity Management 7 according to the documentation on |https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000706149&] All seems die be working the data from our HCM (ECC6) system is imported but no where can I find documentation on how to use IDM from here. We want users to be able to log on and change there passwords and to be able to combine multiple data sources eg. Active directory and HCM and then modify it and update another data source.
Thanks in advance.
Schalk
Hi Schalk,
how have you exported the data from the HCM-System?
Have you written a special report, or have you used SAP Quick Viewer to export the data?
Kind regards,
Achim Heinekamp

Hi Schalk,
Use Monitoring,
http://<hostname>:<port>/monitoring
login with mxmc_admin
left hand side select identity store.
Select your identity store which was mapped in VDS for HCM synchronization and click search.
you should be able to see the list of users that are syncrhonized from HCM

Hi Anand
Thanks for your reply, I did manage to see the users there with the ACCOUNT flied but not sure how to reset the passwords. I went through all the documentation on the snd site but they only say that it can be done and not saying how. Maybe I'm missing something somewhere.
Thanks
Schalk
Hi Schalk,
Use MX_PASSWORD attribute in "Destination" of the Job. and provide some value to this attribute, which acts as a password. (ofcourse you can encrypt this value)
After performing the above, run the job. Now the identity will be stored with password.
you can login with that password.
