Hi all,
when i save the Tax code (FTXP) after creating it in Development system, the Tax code does not save under any Transport request number.
So, i can not transport the same to Testing system. and have to create same tax code in testing system also.
Could anyone tell me the reason why doesnt it save under Transport request number?
Regards,
Swetha
Dear Shwetha,
If am correct you wont get any request while creating taxcodes using transaction FTXP
You can create taxcodes directly in production itself

Hi,
Very surprising!!!!
i have exported the Tax code(ex T1) from development server, it asked the Request number. i have created new one and saved under it.
Then in testing server, executed the SCC1 by giving the same Request number.
Now, when i check the Tax code(FTXP) in testing server, its displaying but the output rate is not transported. and in testing i can not do import also, because the import option not in Edit mode.
Please give me solution.

Swetha
Hi,
meantime please clarify my doubt regarding sandbox and golden client.
i hope, in both these the Transport request saving process will be same. Either we can save it any exiting one or create new TR and save it.
The diffrence between these is, the configuration make in golden client will mive to the production.
but in Sand box we can play around. the configuration done in sandbox will not move to the production right???
please tell me whether i am right or not???
Hi,
I think you have created tax codes in FTXP in sand box client in devlopment server where you can customize some configuration in any module but the system will generate any request. But , If you create or maintain any configuration in GOLDEN CLIENT in Development serever the system will give the pop box for generating the Request No. Except you maintain MASTER DATA
Here you have Created tax codes in FTXP which is a master data.

Hi Sudipto,
Usually when I save the configuration in Development server, the pop box is appear and I create a request and save it.
But in this case, tax code, it did not ask for any request number. Just got message in message bar that u2018the changes are savedu2019.
So, you feel the creating of Tax code is a master data activity???
Hi,
there are more than one clients in Development Server like :
1. sand box client
2.goleden client
and you will find in many companies that Even Quality client is also in development server.
Let me explain you once again.
Firstly,Any customization you are doing in Sand box client system will not ask you to generate any kind of request and that is controlled by the Basis modules.
Secondly. If you are customizing any thing in Golden client the system will definitely asks you to create a request under which that customization will be saved EXCEPT Master Data.so, In case of any changes in master data changing you can do in Production server also directly and for that no request no. will be generated.Golden client is clean client no data will be there.
thirdly, with the transaction code SCC1 you can copy the customization from client to client, Eg: from golden to sandbox client.
Fourthly, Please Remember that Request no. moves from sever to server (golden>quality>production)
Now I am coming to your Question that you have created a tax code , but the point is in which client of the development server......Golden or sandox (both are in same server)?if you create in Golden client then request no. must be generated because to create a tax code is the part of the customization , it is not master data.the tax percentage is master data
If you create a tax code in sand box client(development server) no request will be generated if it is not a part of master data.
I think your doubt will be cleared.
With regards,
Sudipto
