CR2008 Viewer - First Preview Page is blank

Hi,

I am using CR2008 Viewer to display the report in VS 2008 app. I deployed the app on one of our server and when I try to run the report the first page of the report comes as blank though if I do view source I can see the data but its not being displayed on the preview. I can export, print and even when I navigate to next page can see the report but only when report is loaded for first time the page is blank...

Is application works fine on development environment?

Where are you loading the report on Page_load or Page_Init event ?

Yes the application works fine on the development region and I am loading the report in the Page_Load event....

Check your browsers pop up blocker and security settings. Also check the version of the viewer cab files, possibly they need to be updated on the server.

We are also facing the same issue after Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 1 - Redist Install on the server.

Hi,

For me the problem was the missing reference to aspnet_client folder under my site in IIS.

The correct path should be referencing to ' \inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client ' folder.

Hi Kajal,

Have you applied any service pack for crystal reports?

Try to load the report (using the 'ReportSource' property) from the 'Page_init' event.

This allows for the settings to be available for the entire lifetime of the incoming web request.

But then the same code is working in the development machine...then why that change..?

I did try doing it in Page_Init but it didnot work...
