Route Schedule in Third Party Orders

We have made the necessary setting for the determination of Route and Route Schedule, but unfortunately the route schedule is not getting picked in the Third party order, but it works wonderfully with outbound delivery orders...

Is there any other setting to trigger the RS for 3rd party orders? or is it that SAP doesnt support RS for 3rd party orders as there is no actual delivery happening?

Regards

Raj

Dear Babu,

As, in Third-Party Orders, theres is no Material-Movement (shipping) from Plant; Route Schedule will not be applicable. Customer places an order on to you and you have placed an order to your vendor, who will directly deliver the goods to your customer.

Best Regards,

Amit.

Hi Raja and Amit,

Thanks for you reply.

The problem that i am facing with is; when I create a 3rd party order it picks up todays date as a default delivery date but our vendors supply stock only after certain days and I want that date to be proposed, which I thought route schedules does...I cannt even set up defauls lead time at doc level as every store has different lead time.

Regards

Raj

Hi rajendra

But you can maintain the GR days in MMR-purchasing tab , if you feel that the vendor takes time to supply goods. So based on the GR time only the delivery date will also come. If you have not maintained GR days in MMR then you can manually enter The GR days in purchase order in the delivery date tab

The default delivery date in the 3rd part order was changed via relevent user exits and the delivery date is proposed as per the code written in the user exit.

Hi

As per my understanding the third party is delivering goods to your customer and we are not delivering anything. So it doesnot sound logical to have route determined in third party order

This is more of logical answer of mine
