i changed the name of position in PPOME, but it is not reflecting on the Employee information in PA30.
can someone tell me why is this happening so?
do i need to change anything?
please help. i need it fast.
Hi,
It is not advisable to chaneg the position name.
because, once u assinged one position to a person and if you change the text of that position from another date, you will be getting a Additional record in IT0001 which is not related to any record.
If you wanted to change the name change it from the original date, don't change the BEGDA for the changed date.
thanks,
Vasu.

Hi
If you want to change the name of the position, it is very simple. I will help you with an example. Lets say u have created a position of Team Member. Now you want to convert that position to team Leader. The steps for conversion is very simple.
Go to PPOM_OLD. Select the required position. Click on the required position then press Shift+F4.
You will get a new screen with the heading Maintain Object. Select the object tab and then click on change button. Change the name out there and then save the same. If relationship has to be changed then click on that button and change the same.

Check in Tcode : PPOM_OLD.
Corresponding Position text is modified or not.
Or
check the modified position text is reflected in table T528T.
check the modified date in this table
