Ordinary Dep.date

Hi,

Could any one please tell me how to solve this issue.

I am posting the asset on 19.06.2008. In ordinary depre.start date field system is taking as 01.06.2008.

But system is taking cap.date as 19.06.2008.

In this case I want to post ordinary dep.start date as 19.06.2008.

Please suggest me how to do this.

you may please write a substituiton for the Depreciation start date as equal to Capitalization date in t-code GGB1 under the asset accounting - Master Data.

Dear Sriram,

First you have to decide do you want to use default business transaction for Asset Posting, if so then

Go to Asset Accounting>Specify how default aset value date is determined>select the SAP_Deafult>

against Current Value Depreciation select the appropriate one u want>

Like Posting Date, First day of Period etc.

Then system will calculate depr posting from that default settings,

I tried that, but still system is not taking the posting date as ordinary dep.date.

Please go to AFAMP and check what is assigned against period control which is ultimately assigned in the Depr key.

In AFAMP i have given 01/01/02/02. Please correct me what should i select for getting the posting date as ordinary Dep.start date.

Can u tell me what is selected against "current Value Depr" in below settings:-

Asset Accounting>Specify how default aset value date is determined>select the SAP_Deafult>

against Current Value Depreciation select the appropriate one u want>

Please remember if u are maintaining the above default settings then do not put the Depr Start date in the Asset Master.

System will always take the depr start date by default what u have selected.
