Hi Experts,

Can anyone tell difference between

Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Notifications > Notification Creation > Notification Types > Assign Notification Types to Order Types.

and

Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Orders > Functions and Settings for Order Types > Define Notification and Order Integration

Both seems to be for integration to Order type and Notification Type

Whats the Difference in functioning

You can work with different notification types and order types. In this step, you can assign a single order type to a single notification type in each case

Whether you want to maintain notification- and order data in one screen. This means that you can create another notification automatically when entering the order.

Whether the long text of the notification header should be automatically copied to the order header

Whether and in what range you allow the assignment of operations to object list entries of the order

In the order header data screen, you find some central data fields for the notification, which you can maintain completely if desired.

Because the notification is created automatically by the system, here you can define the order types for which these functions should be used and which notification type the system should use.

Controls the automatic assignment of operations to object list entries (for example, notification, equipment, functional location), if a notification is assigned to an order. The operations are assigned using the task list specified in the notification

Assignment of operations to object list entries inactive

The enhanced functions for the object list are inactive. That means, an assignment of the operations of the order to entries in the object list is not possible.

Assignment of operations to maintenance plan notifications active

When assigning a notification to an order, the automatic assignment of operations is only possible for notifications in the object list that was generated from the maintenance plan.

You can display the operations assigned to a notification.

When assigning a notification to an order, the automatic assignment of operations is possible for all notifications in the object list, that is for manually created notifications and for maintenance plan notifications.

In my Last mail the Enhanced Object List Functions means as follows.

1. Assignment of operations to object list entries inactive

Dear Sir

Following path will give only which type of order is created against which notification.

Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Notifications > Notification Creation > Notification Types > Assign Notification Types to Order Types.

But second option as follows.

Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Orders > Functions and Settings for Order Types > Define Notification and Order Integration

This will decide whether you want to create notification at the time of creation of the order. Which type notification you want to create. Also whether you want to display the notification data on order screen.

Also Controls following things.
