Introscope_Enterprise_Manager 7.2 not starting...

Hi,

I have installed the wily introscope manager 7.2. (Solaris 9) installation completed sucessfully..

When i start the server i receive a below error message in the log file.

Could someone guide me how to start the server

We had the same problem.

But we have installed Wily Introscope_Enterprise_Manager 7.2 in Windows.

This is how we resolved the issue in windows:

1. First go to etc/service/hosts (for us it was C:WINDOWSsystem32driversetchosts)

Open file: hosts and refer u201Clocalhostu201D to the solution manager host server IP address.

i.e., like 120.10.0.58 localhost

2. Then try to open the workstation of Wily Introscope Enterprise Manager 7.2 in any desktop (where j2sdk is installed) other than Solution Manager Host Server System.

http://<solution manager host name>:8081/workstation

or

http://<solution manager host name>:8080/workstation

It should work.

Note: We have followed the steps as mentioned in this blog:

localhost must always point to an address of the 127.0.0.1 network (loopback), never to an official IP. If that was necessary the implementation was wrong.

Hi Markus,

Once we installed wily introscope enterprise manager 7.2, it was not starting.

It started after we referred localhost to IP address of solution manager system.

But we are able to launch wily workstation from other systems not on the solution manager system.

We will refer the IP address as you mentioned.

1. Would it be the issue why we were not able to start it on solution manager system.

2. We have one more issue while we run diagnostics wizard setup for managing system(Solution Manager).

After entering ABAP client(100) user id/password and BI client(001 - we have activated BI on client 001) user id/password, it lists all the activities which will be done during the setup wizard.

one of which is:

SAPSUPPORT user id will be created in client 001 instead of 100.

JAVA communication users also will be created in client 001 instead of 100.

Why is this so? These supposed to created in clinet 100 right.

So we haven't executed the setup wizard yet.

Help us to get rid of this issue.

I too face the same extact error in starting the wily Enterprise manager in Sun Solaris system. Could you please give me some suggestions.
