Hi Nivedika,

If user ask us to delete a personnel number, first we have to check whether employee leaving action has been performed or not. If leaving action is not performed we have to requist user to performe leaving action.

Now take position id goto SE38 --> run report RHRHDL00 --> EXECUTE.

goto PA30 --> enter personnel number --> go to utilities --> delete personnel number.

Note:- here we are executing report inorder to deactive position in OM.

Deleting personnel numbers in SAP HR

If you have some duplicated, personnel numbers on the system and the data is not complete.

You try to delete these and get the message "record cannot be deleted (time constraint 1)".

The fastest and simplest way to delete employees is to use program RPUDELPN.

Either that or from PA30, click to Utilities -> Delete Personnel Number.

Certain infotypes have the time constraint set so that you cannot delete them which is why it is giving you the message.

To avoid problems, use the above methods.

How to Delete the Personnel Numbers created in the Server?

For deleting a personnel number, please follow these steps:

1. Note down the position to which the employee belongs..Go to PO13 and delete the relationship of the position with the holder.

2. Now go to PU00, enter the personnel number and execute. In the next screen, select all infotypes using F7.

DO NOT select one by one infotype and try to delete. Once all infotypes are selected, use the trash can symbol to complete the delete process

If you want delete the personnel number s individuallygo for pa30, enter the your personnel no. go for utilities menu then select the delete personnel no.

If you want delete personnel no, mass/ bulk wise go for se38 give the RPUDELPN and execute and range of personnel no,'s. delete the test run check mark

Hi Nivedita,

A personnel NO can be deleted if and only if payroll has not been run for the personnel no.

After payroll run you cant delete the personnel number.

You can use RPUDELPN program in SE38 transaction code or PU00 directly

Or in PA30 MAintain master data Utilities-> Delete personnel number.

Yes, we can delete the personnel no. by using tcode pu00 or goto pa30, there click on utilities and click on change/delete personnel no.
