1.what is the prodn lot and what is the function for the same

2.how to create mrp for difernt stoargae location/plant

3.what is the sequence in routing and waht is the function of that

4.how to customize shift in work center?

Please explain with T-Code steps also.

Dear,

Please don't ask number of questions in one thread. Please refer the [Rules of Engagement |;.

1)Production by lot is the strategy used to manufacture goods for bulk customers.it will come under strategy 30 or If you maintain max lot size system always create the planned orders in the same multiples which we mentioned in the material master to satisfy the requirement.

2) You Can do it by activiting MRP area.

3) Sequence in routing allow you manufacture the product in Parallel or in alternate sequence on work center.

4) Shift Sequence OP4A.

Hi Imran,

I suggest is that first you go through the material in help.sap portal & the grossary there .....then ask the queries that you have .... this will help you in getting some good understanding in the way SAP aligns itself with business requirement ..

Hi,

1.what is the prodn lot and what is the function for the same

Production lot is the minimum qty which can be produced or procured based on the feasibility. Based on this production lot the system will rounding off the qty.

2.how to create mrp for difernt stoargae location/plant

MRP is run always at plant level, it will consider all the storage locations. You can exclude some of the storage locations from the MRP run, this you can control in configuration.

3.what is the sequence in routing and waht is the function of that

Routing is the sequence of operations and it will have the standard values for each activities like setup, machining etc...

4.how to customize shift in work center?

In work center you need to give the shift start time, end time & length of the intervals.
