what is the purpose of VAT code in customer master data?

where can I find it when I created sales order?

VAT registration no can be seen in Billing header>Header.

Hi jianming zhang,

VAT tax can be found in conditions (normally for each position). It is the MWST condition (can be informed at VK12). VAT or IVA (Spain) is a tax called Value Added Tax. You can find more information about this tax at:

The importance of VAT code is : A tax number assigned by the authorities to a business for transactions

involving local sales tax.

In the sales order u can not find the same. It carry from the customer master of partner function of your sales doc.
