I create a report with a parameter field. I add the field to the report and click refresh data. The system will give me a pop up window to enter the value. I enter and click OK. The problem then is, the Window doesn't close.
I can only close the window by clicking the X in the right top, but then the value is not used in the report.
This used to work in other environments I had but now, even if I create a new report with only this field, this happens. Any suggestions?
Also no additional restrictions on the parameters.

Hi Dell,
The version of Crysal is 14.1.8.2060
Not sure which windows version it is as I connect to the system in a hosted environment and the remote desktop links directly into Crystal Reports application.
Kind regards,
Peter

Which version of Crystal are you using (go to Help >> About and get the full version number) and what OS are you running?
Are there any restrictions set in the parameter properties?

Compare IE settings across the Good/Bad machines.
You probably need to enable scripting in Internet Explorer on the "bad" machine.

Hi Abhilash,
No multiple values are allowed. Attached is a sample of the pop up. It is a static number parameter and the field is dragged on the report. So, if I refresh the screen, the pop up comes but when I enter a value and click OK, the screen keeps open.
Any suggestions?

Hi Peter,
Have you set the parameter to accept 'multiple values'? If yes, you also need to press the '>' button to move the entered value to the 'selected values' list.
Could you attach a screenshot of the prompt window please?
