Hi All,

We are on SQL 2005 and windows. Our delta load from ERP to BW is erroring out with Database error 1204.

I can see 2 entries in DB02 Deadlock Monitor? How do I relase these deadlock from SAP or SQLServer?

Please help!

Thanks,

Antarpreet

Hello Markus,

Deadlock Monitor is showing deadlock in table /BIC/FZCOPA_C53

The PIDs that it mentions are: 6,308 4656 but both are currently not bieng used at os level!

Thank You,

Antarpreet

You are having a look at the deadlock statistics apparently.

Check note 111291 - FAQ: SQL server analysis and avoiding deadlocks

In most cases deadlocks are caused by the application (so in this case the BI), get in contact with your BI developer and search for notes with the content name containing this table.

Hi Experts,

Please help on this!

We have even bounced back the BI system but the deadlock entry in ST04 still remains. Although the process seems to be zombie and does not exist at OS level (windows), Is there a way we could delete this entry from ST04 Deadlock Monitor? What would be the best way to clear this entry?

Thanks,

Antarpreet

Hi,

ST04 transaction is showing the deadlock statistics.

So these are historic entries that normally are kept for 7 days in the system and then cleaned out automatically.

(Checkup with SAP note [75158|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/75158])

I believe you don't have to worry, there is no actual problem in your system, as the deadlocks are already solved / cleaned out. There should also be messages in your system log (Transaction SM21) about this......

Regards

Rolf
