Hello,
I have this hourly standard job SAP_APPLICATION_STAT_COLLECTOR that is being cancelled every time we have a cold database backup scheduled in DB13, which happens once per week. Is there any trick I could use to have this job "sleep" while offline backup is running? Auditors are questioning these cancelled jobs..
Thanks
Galina
Hi Galina Savikovsky,
Check below note .may help.
Try to suspend the released job by report BTCTRNS1 just before the offline backup and again reschedule it using BTCTRNS2 after backup.

Hi Galina,
Before the backup excute the btctrns1 report which will *suspend the all jobs *which are in release and after the backup excute the report btctrns2 for releasing the suspenended jobs.
Using this u can not modify the status of active jobs.

this job "sleep" while offline backup is running?
The job should not run when the system is down.... or are you just shutting down the DB?...
As far as i know here no way send the job to "sleep" while another process is running.
