When your SAP Integration Kit license has expired, how do you update it?
For example : In designer, not being able to create OLAP universes on SAP BW anymore.
Thank you,
Raphaë
Hi Ingo
do you know, I,ve tried to put in the licens key in CMC for int.kit that I got from SAP self and also another from the marketplace page.
I getting message:
Currently held license keys (Select a key to see its licensing information)
License Key Error: Invalid Key : <my key>
There is no license added for int.kit in CMC right now, do I need to have it?
Reason to this is that we got some connection error: "The specific module could not be found" and error "WIS 10901"
This after Infoview and "refresh data"
From my opinion I would guess that this is licens problem?
Can you please help us?
regards Jacob

For Linux/Unix environments, as well as Windows servers without the License Manager, would it be an acceptable alternative to add the Kit's license keycode in the CMC? It's worked for me before and seems like it would allow for use in the entire XI environment, not just individual servers.

How do you modify the Key for a Linux or Unix install?

You can change the license key of the BOE XI system as such in the CMC under "License Keys".
However (regarding my question), it is not possible to change the license of the SAP Integration Kit in the CMC (also look at SAP Note 1199799).
Therefore my question remais: how do you change the license key of the SAP integration kit on a linux system?
I think I found it...
I'll modify the keycode in the registry ;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\SAP\Keycode
Is this the proper way?
Thank you,
R.

I have the same question only for a LINUX environment.
We have installed our BO Enterprise XI Release 3.1 on a SuSE LINUX and now have problems with the license of the SAP Integration Kit. Where / How can I change the license key of the integration kit in LINUX?
Regards, Marc.

For update the licence key you can launch the installation setup ok Integration KIT for Sap.
At the first step in the wizard you find in the wizard the "update installation key".
You can launch the installation with the "change" step in the update software installed on the windows server.

Thanks a lot for the reponse. Are you saying I should re-run the installation of SAP integration Kit and click Upgrade and enter the new key. I will try that. I am guessing I do not have to check any components in the next screen as all I want is the new key to take effect. I wish it was like changing the key code in CMC.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
In Windows systems ,if you install only BO XI 3.X suite without Cristal Report software you haven't installed the Licence Manager tools.
The way I have updated the licence of Int KIT is launching again the installation of integration kits for SAP.
In linux Unix system, as you have sad, you can modify the registry.
bye
Andrea
