Stock not updated after GR with 103 & 105 movement types

Hi All

I have raised one GR(MIGO) with ref to PO and movement type as 103(GR for PO with GR blocked stock).

The same was released in MIGO using movement type '105'and stock type selected 'Unrestricted use'.

After first step, In MMBE stock updated under 'GR Blocked Stock'.

But after second step no stock was updated in 'Unrestricted use'.

the actual scenario is:

The receipts from vendor for a PO need to be blocked and then later should go to unresticted use.

Can any body help me how to address this and Tcodes need to be used.

Hi,

Check whether your PO is acct assigned (or)

You have posted the stock to QI stock.

Yes. While creating PO GL account and cost center was assigned.

Hi,

For the Account assigned POs the system will not update the Stock in the Unrestriced use after 105 mvt type.

The value Will go in the particular Cost centre & G/L account

Stock will update only for stock material with G/L account & cost centre

Then you will not be able to see the stock in MMBE under the unrestricted use stock

It will be consumed or booked against the cost center you have maintained in the PO

Thanks for your reply and it is some what understandable.I have few more questions.

1.Is it possible to create PO with out Account and Costcenter not assigned. If so what is the impact.

2.My current settings were not allowing to create the PO with GL account and Costcenter.

M just confused with the "PO with account assignment" concept. Could you spare some time for this and help me to understand?

the basic reason why you create the PO with account assignment - is when the material specified is going to get consumed automaticlly to certain cost center if account asignment is K. it will get consumed to certain element based on category put.

if you want to procure stock for stockkeeping- create PO without account assigment- then when u create GR-it will increase stock level and u can use this stock as required

account assigment - consumption-no stocking- remember this keyword

But, system not allowing to save the PO with out Cost center and GL account. Can you suggest any thing for this?

because u must have put accont assigment category-remove that- if it asks for mandatory acct assign cat-check whether have u used any specific item category?

then configuration must be made for mandatory acct asin for that item category

Hi,

Check the material type in OMS2 whether the valuation area(plant) is having the value updation or not.

If you don't have the value updation for the valuation area it will ask for the details of account assignment.

Form the above replies we can understand that, If GL accounts and Cost center assigned while creating PO then the qty will not be updated.

But how to get the actual stock position. Is there any other option available?.
